Welcome to the new EMAS web presence. EMAS is the European Microbeam Analysis Society.
EMAS was founded in 1987 as a scientific society focusing on microbeam analysis methodology. Its primary purposes are education, communication and innovation.
The Society is independent, but co-operates closely with national and international microbeam analysis groups and other European societies with related interests. EMAS is a founding member of IUMAS, the International Union of Microbeam Analysis Societies. The Society is a nonprofit making organisation registered in Germany. A copy of the constitution will be sent upon request.
Membership is open to all scientists and technicians active in the development and application of microbeam analysis techniques and equipment.
Official Journal of EMASEMAS has adopted Microscopy and Microanalysis (MiMi) as the official journal of the Society in partnership with the Microanalysis Society of America (MAS).https://academic.oup.com/mam
