ntraleSupélec (CS).\nIs at about 10 minutes on foot to CS.\nIs situated at
5 minutes to Le Guichet RER B station and CS is accessible with the bus l
ine 4609 situated down the RER station.\nIs in the centre of the Gif-sur-Y
vette city at about 10 minutes on foot from the RER B Gif sur Yvette stati
on. CS can be reached by RER B (stop at Orsay-ville) then bus 4607 or can
be reached by RER B (stop at Le Guichet) then by bus (4609).\nIs not in th
e centre of Gif-sur-Yvette and you can reach it from Bures-sur-Yvette RER
B station. But it takes around 20-25 minutes on foot to reach it from the
station.\nIs in the centre of the village Saint Aubin and can be reach by
bus 4609 (stop at Saint Aubin) about 5 minutes from the bus stop. Use the
same line to get to CS.\nCould be reach by bus line 4606 (from Massy-Palai
seau RER B station). Use the same line to get to CS.\nIs at village of Sac
lay and could be reach by bus 4609 (stop at Mairie de Saclay)\, but it is
going to be a bit long from Massy-Palaiseau RER B station\, better by car.
\nIs easy to reach but by car.\n\nNote that there are restaurants near the
RER B Le Guichet station\, when you go down to Orsay city centre\, and in
Orsay city centre. There are a few in Gif-sur-Yvette city centre. But not
  a lot near CentraleSupelec.\nLocation\nWorkshop venue – CentraleSupélec a
nd LMPS (Laboratoire de Mécanique de Paris-Saclay)\nThe workshop will be h
eld at CentraleSupélec in partnership with ICMMO\, both sites being locate
d within the perimeter of Université Paris-Saclay (UPS). &nbsp\;UPS compri
ses five faculties and is affiliated with four prestigious engineering sch
ools: CentraleSupélec\, ENS Paris-Saclay\, AgroParisTech\, and the Institu
t d'Optique\, as well as the universities of Evry and Versailles. &nbsp\;I
n&nbsp\;the latest ARWU rankings\, it is ranked 13th worldwide and first a
mong French universities.\nCentraleSupélec is a leading engineering school
that combines academic rigor and practical expertise to train the respons
ible leaders of tomorrow. Its main missions are training high-level scient
ific general engineers\, research in engineering and systems sciences\, an
d executive education.&nbsp\; A major player in engineering science resear
ch\, CentraleSupélec develops cutting‑edge research to foster innovation.
&nbsp\;Driven by an interdisciplinary dynamic\, its Research Centre is com
mitted to addressing major technological\, societal\, and environmental ch
allenges.\nThe LMPS (Laboratoire de Mécanique Paris-Saclay) was created in
2022 through the merger of the LMT (Laboratoire de Mécanique et Technolog
ie - ENS Paris-Saclay) and MSSMat (Laboratoire de Mécanique des Sols\, Str
uctures et Matériaux - CentraleSupélec). &nbsp\;Comprising nearly 220 staf
f members\, this research unit\, associated to CNRS\, dedicated to experim
entation\, modelling\, and simulation in solid mechanics\, aims to address
challenges in the fields of energy\, resource management\, and sustainabl
e transportation\, particularly in relation to climate change adaptation a
nd industrial renewal.\nWorkshop venue – Facilities\nThe workshop will be
 held at CentraleSupélec\, rue Joliot Curie\, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette.&nbsp\;&
nbsp\;Facilities in buildings Eiffel and Bouygues will be used.&nbsp\;&nbs
p\;A free car park will be possible for whose coming by car (see map).&nbs
p\;\n\nNo. 1 is the main entrance of the Eiffel building\; No. 2 is the ma
in entrance of the Bouygues building\; No. 3 is the entrance of the Campan
ile hotel. The Rousseau theatre is situated in the Bouygues building just
after the welcome desk on the left.\nThe exhibition/break/posters/lunch ar
ea is at the Michelin terrasse situated on the 1st floor of the Eiffel bui
lding. Take the stairs on the right just after the main entrance.\n\ntop\n
 &nbsp\;\nSightseeing\nThere are some nice places around Gif-sur-Yvette / O
rsay but they are not so easy to reach without a car.&nbsp\; For some tour
istic attractions it is probably easier to think at Paris. &nbsp\;Paris is
at about 1 hour from the conference centre using RER B line (south direct
ion).\nIf you would like to visit the Notre Dame cathedral\, which reopene
d last year after the memorable fire\, it is free of charge (without guide
) but you have to booked in advance and booking is only possible the morni
ng of the selected day (at least at present). &nbsp\;See web site: https:/
 /resa.notredamedeparis.fr/en/reservationindividuelle/tickets\nYou can go o
n the cathedral towers and get your ticket here:&nbsp\;https://resa.notred
 amedeparis.fr/en/reservationindividuelle/tickets\nThere is also an immersi
ve virtual reality tour on the cathedral front square\, Eternal Notre Dame
 : https://parisjetaime.com/eng/tickets/eternal-notre-dame-m9001308.&nbsp\;
For this one\, if you have a Navigo card (most probably to use the public
transport) choose the second choice (reduced price).\nFor any other attra
ction\, the Louvre or Orsay museums\, Eiffel tower\, etc… book in advance.
\ntop\n&nbsp\;\nHow to get to Paris\, then to CentraleSupélec\n- By air\nF
rom the Roissy Charles de Gaule airport you have to take the RER B (direct
ion Massy Saint Rémy lès Chevreuse or Orsay-ville or eventually Mass-Palai
 seau). &nbsp\;Then they are 3 options:\n1&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Stop at Massy-Pala
iseau RER B station and take the bus 4606 direction Christ de Saclay and s
top at Moulon (or eventually Université Paris-Saclay).\n2&nbsp\;&nbsp\; St
op at Le Guichet RER station. T hen take the bus line 4609 just down the s
tation (direction Campus HEC or Gare de Jouy en Josas) and stop at Univers
ité Paris-Saclay or Moulon (follow the students). &nbsp\;You could eventua
lly take bus 4606 and stop Unversité Paris-Saclay or Moulon.\n3&nbsp\;&nbs
p\; Stop at Orsay-ville RER B station then take the bus 4607 (take the str
eet down the station\, follow the students) and stop at Lieu de Vie or Uni
 versité Paris-Saclay.\nBus map lines:&nbsp\;https://www.paris-saclay.com/v
 os-services/transports/bus/\nRER B line:&nbsp\;https://www.ratp.fr/plans-l
ignes/rer/b\nFrom the Orly airport take the “Orlyval” tram line to the Ant
ony terminus (7 minutes).&nbsp\; Then take RER B as above.\nFrom Beauvais
airport take the shuttle to Paris Porte Maillot. &nbsp\;Then the metro lin
e 1 to Chatelet and RER B from Chatelet-Les Halles.&nbsp\; Then as above.
\n\n- By train\nFrom Gare du Nord\, Gare de l’Est or any train station of
Paris\, get the RER B in Paris at any station (direction Massy Saint Rémy
lès Chevreuse or Orsay-ville or eventually Mass-Palaiseau). &nbsp\;Then as
above.\nNote that in the morning\, buses from Massy-Palaiseau or Le Guich
et could be quite crowed to reach CenraleSupélec. &nbsp\;We are waiting fo
r the new metro line to open in 2026\, but it is not yet open.\n- By car
\nThe best is to use your navigator\, because to drive around Paris if you
come from the north or the east\, several roads could be recommended. &nb
sp\;The official address of the CentraleSupélec official address is rue Jo
liot Curie at Gif-sur-Yvette\; take care if you drive to the school as the
entrance of the car park is on the other side of the building. &nbsp\;In
that case you have to arrive via ‘avenue des Sciences‘\, then take the lit
tle road called ‘rue Noetzlin’. &nbsp\;However\, contact us in advance so
you could get a car park code to enter into it\; code that you will have t
o enter at the barrier to be able to go down the slope. &nbsp\;We will the
n explain to you how to reach the workshop.\ntop\n&nbsp\;\nKey dates\n&nbs
